6 Selena Gomez street style looks to copy this autumn

From collaborating on capsule collections with Coach, to modelling for Louis Vuitton ad campaigns, to consistently featuring on red carpet best dressed lists, Selena Gomez has proven to be a fashion force to be reckoned with.
But if I’m truly being honest, when it comes to Selena and fashion, what I fawn over the most are her off-duty, street style-ready looks – you know, where she is turning a snuggly Free People cardigan into a must-have wardrobe staple or making an Urban Outfitters floral midi dress look extra effortless and cool?
And whether my love for casual-Selena-style stems from the fact she reminds me that laid-back, often quite basic pieces look uber good when styled right, or simply because these looks are much more attainable for us common folk, I am obsessed.
So, naturally, here are six everyday-appropriate Selena outfits that not only do I adore, but I think would be perfect for emulating this autumn - and every autumn for that matter. Scroll through to see where to shop them for less.

The Velvet Cardigan
First up is this so simple yet so chic look Selena wore whilst roaming the streets of New York in 2017. The low bun and partially unbuttoned crushed velvet cardigan create a relaxed feel. Meanwhile, the sock boots, gold hoops and eye-catching red Coach bag bring some glam. The colour palette feels very Parisian - which as the French girl wannabe I am, I’m all for.
2. Milk maid but make it fashion
Stop mourning your summer dresses, they have so much more to give. Case in point: this transitional weather-appropriate look from Miss Gomez. Selena cosies up her blue floral Reformation milkmaid dress by throwing a brown cashmere Free People cardigan over the top. She styles the look with Puma trainers (she is one of their brand ambassadors after all) and simple gold hoop earrings, creating the ultimate comfy-casual vibe.
3. A laissez-fair approach
Here is just further proof that the midi dress and cardigan combo is a winner. Selena's frock of choice this time is a black floral wrap number by Parisian brand Rouje, she layers it with a cream cable knit cardigan that nonchalantly falls off her shoulders. Selena finishes off the Jeanne Damas-style outfit with her signature Coach bag, white Louis Vuitton trainers and a pair of oval black sunglasses.
4. The rawr-some jumper
Everybody calm, I know what you're thinking: No cardigan!? But there's good reason, have you ever seen a knit cuter than this dinosaur cashmere jumper from Coach? Didn't think so. Selena layers the fun piece over a white roll-neck - a style note to steal when the weather gets particularly nippy. The Cardigan Queen continues the playful aesthetic by accessorising with a pair of actual rose-tinted glasses.
5. I can sing a rainbow
Two of my favourite celebrity-worlds collided when Selena stepped out in this rainbow-like fuzzy sweater vest designed by Alexa Chung. The singer/actor/producer/beauty entrepreneur paired the preppy piece (that FYI, is so in right now) with raw hem jeans, orange mules, aviator sunglasses and a baby pink leather crossbody bag. Let this look serve as a reminder that a cold turn in the weather doesn't have to mean ditching brightly coloured garments.
6. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Selena
Peace is restored. The cardigan is back in yet another *Harry Styles voice* simple but effective look. Selena pairs her noble knit with wardrobe staples of a black roll neck, raw hem straight leg jeans and black loafers. The John Lennon-esque sunglasses are a much welcomed quirky addition.
